Makeup Snapshot

I don’t change up my make-up very often these days (or ever), mainly because I’m not much of a makeup hoarder and have little to choose from in the terms of variety. The most exciting moment in my routine is choosing which foundation we’re going with that day and what eyeliner i’m gonna rock. That’s about it. What a crazy cat!
I thought it’d be nice to capture the makeup I’m using every now again when it changes.. so I can see how I’m growing as a makeup lover. Most recently I have a desire for any and all cream blush, I have added the Revlon, Topshop and soon to be released Bourjois blushes to my wishlist to give a try next, though Stila sets the bar pretty high with their dreamy convertible colours.
This particular makeup was from saturday, for nipping to the shops and getting some food in town, sounds nice but we were out for about an hour before rushing back home for the football. Typical. For my base I went with the no-fuss approach in Dr Jarts BB cream, which is a tad too dark so I mixed it with Dainty Doll 003 for a near perfect match. I then used the Collection illuminating concealer pen to lighten and add extra coverage in some places.
For eyes a good slick of Urban Decay’s eyeliner in Zero is always a winner, my ultimate favourite and getting dangerously small now. I also added a tiny bit of Jemma Kid Make Up School eyeshadow in mocha for a little definition, no mascara as I’m yet to find one that doesn’t have me scratching my eyes off by the end of the day. For brows I use the Barry M kohl pencil in brown, pretty simple. Cheeks get a touch of Stila’s Lilium applied with the RT stippling brush. Finally the Seventeen lip product everyone seems to love, Beehive. I like it, but it’s not love..
