Fab Thursday

Oh my gosh, It's 3 days before Christmas! I just can't keep up, I swear it was Monday yesterday, I swear! There is so much to do and so little time, this is the first time I've actually sat down on my laptop to purposefully catch up on as much as possible and blog! in quite a few days! yikes!

I thought I might as well keep up with my Thursday traditions of course and share just a few fab things!

Home for Christmas

I woke up absolutely freezing this morning because the heating hadn't been on, luckily, my personal hot water bottle got under the covers with me and we had an extra hour nap. Shhh.

So yes! I'm home for Christmas (technically the first of 3 in my winter break but we'll get to that later..) & It's a complete mad house! My mum and step-dad have just moved to this new home in the past month, and as they're downsizing... by a lot, there are boxes everywhere, and when I say everywhere, I mean e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e! This means there aren't any decorations up, not even a tree, so that's a little depressing, but I'll get my fill of all that pizazz at my Dad's next week, then my boyfriends the week after, so hurray for that!

Hope you are having a much more festive holiday than me at the moment!

Insta-life.

I have to hand in two projects tomorrow, then I'm finished for Christmas and get to go home! I can't wait to see my family! It means a lot of travelling around and carrying my stuff with me everywhere, but I get home cooked meals, snuggles from pets and hugs from baby sisters :)

If my cats could lust over anything

It would be this amazing hand felted cat bed! I mean, I'd like to think that they would lust over something this beautiful, but it's probably just wishful thinking, I'm sure I'm more accurate in saying all they really want is fresh salmon or chicken or something. Sigh.

Lately...

I've been making pom-poms till they're coming out of my ears! This is for my current project which has to be handed in on the 16th of this month, so there really is no time to spare! I probably won't be around as much for the next week because I really need to get a lot done! I'm still a little bit like "argh!" about what my finished piece will be ... clearly something with pom-poms, possibly something with light. Who knows at the moment, not even me.

As you may be able to tell, I'm a little bit all over the place, so I apologise for that! ;)

1. Anything other than my actual work!

But of course, pah I say to that list, it's not even a list, it's one thing. I'd rather do other things that could be on the list but are not as important really, such as Christmas shopping (BIG one!), bake a chocolate cake and make jewellery.

Currently..

I came across a little trend on the paper mama blog and thought I'd join in for today :)

Working on: Making as many tissue paper and yarn pom pom's as I can possibly make in the next two weeks for my current project, sometimes.. I curse myself and my own ideas because they're a ridiculous amount of work. (last year I made over 150 felt balls for a final piece.. yeah.)

Thinking about: Christmas and what I still need to buy for everyone (argh!). Pom poms are now always on my mind... and also spending too much money and not getting enough sleep.

Anticipating: Going home and seeing my family on the 16th :) The Hunger Games coming out in March. Sleep. Posting my lovely package to Emma!

Listening to: Florence + The Machine's new album pretty much contantly. She is beautiful.

Drinking/Eating: Fanta Icy Lemon and at least one Cadbury flake a day.

Wishing: There was an extra 4 hours in the day for me to do everything and still have time to just relax a little. I also wish that there was a new episode of The Big Bang Theory & How I Met Your Mother every single day for me to watch. That's all I ask, is that too much?

Cats! Are! Fab!
Sorry, but I'm a total cat-aholic, I just want to snuggle them forever (and ever). I've been surrounded by them since I was -zero (aka womb bound) and I'm currently in a stage of my life where I'm not surrounded by cats... and erm, this makes me sad.
You may be a dog person reading this (because I know you exist) and be thinking pah! but I totally love dogs too! they're gorgeous and funny and I could provide you with hours of talk of my dog Seth because he is a hilarious character and cute as a button! ;)
Okay, maybe I'm a bit of a dog person too... so I play for both teams, nothing wrong with that, I'm also on the dream team for pandas, chinchillas and foxes, but whatev. (seriously)

Fabulous cat related things coming up, brace yourself! (I want to own them all)

Oh hey it's a super old picture of my sassy cat, Miles. How unimpressed does he look on a scale of one to 10? I'd say 20. I guess Ribbon isn't his thing, his thing is bringing home dead stuff, actually. (He doesn't do that so much any more now he's older and one eye down)
